What we need
R K HOLMAN Ltd T/A Holmans will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location based information. This does however include name, address, email etc. AND in the case of Credit Applications further information regarding Employment Status, Bank Details, Credit Ratings etc., but only the minimum required to prove Credit Worthiness.
We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with the services and goods in line with the overall contract. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.
All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers in other domains. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.
We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. More information on this framework can be found on our website.
We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it can be destroyed. We may retain purchase history beyond this period for servicing or product recall purposes. Your information we use for marketing purposes (when given explicit consent) will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
At Holmans we are committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document (the "Policy") has been provided by the legal resource DIY Legals and reviewed and approved by their solicitors.
This Policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you whilst you visit our site and how we use cookies on this website.
We do update this Policy from time to time so please do review this Policy regularly.

In running and maintaining our website we may collect and process the following data about you:

Manufacturers' extended warranties
From time to time free extended warranties are offered by manufacturers. Many of these warranties require you to register your purchase online but in some cases (for example with many Panasonic televisions) we will are able to register the warranty on your behalf.

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted.
